“Modern Family” is a television situation-comedy on ABC. It is the most consistently funny comedy on network television (“The League” is terrifically funny but less consistent and you need basic cable to watch it) and my wife got me a 365 Days Of Quotes Calendar for Christmas.
Today’s covered science so I thought I would share it.
From the pilot episode, Cameron, part of a gay couple that has just adopted a baby, is talking:
“Yes, I’ve gained a… few extra pounds while we were expecting the baby, which has been very difficult. But, apparently, your body does a nesting, very maternal, primal thing where it retains nutrients… some sort of molecular physiology thing. But that’s science. You can’t… you can’t fight it.”
I guess I need to ask my wife how many babies I was expecting.
